Men's Group
Men from all over Juneau come to participate in a weekly bible study each Monday morning at 6:30 AM. They meet in the church office conference room to study God’s Word together. They systematically walk verse by verse through a book of the Bible. They also travel each fall to Adak, AK on an annual Caribou hunting trip. This is a time to fellowship as men, enjoy some hunting, and study God’s Word through daily devotions.
Women's Ministry
Women from all walks of life join weekly to love and encourage each other in Christ. The Women’s Tuesday morning Bible study (10:00 AM-Noon, in the FLC upstairs), spends time conversing/catching up, time in prayer, and dedicated time for Bible study. Periodically they will take a break from Bible study and walk through a biography together.
Every other month, our ladies gather on a Saturday to fellowship and connect in various themed ways. Through table discussions, short lessons, or Q&A sessions, our ladies dive into God's Word to discover how to walk as Christ-followers in the various vital roles our ladies occupy in their lives. The current focus verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
Kids
We believe Psalm 127:3 when it says, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” Our church has a heart for kids and their families. Currently, we have a small but growing children’s ministry.
Sunday morning during the preaching portion, children ages 3yo-5th grade, meet for children's church where they participate in fun Bible-based activities, and crafts, and are taught a bible story. Our 2-year-olds and younger can head to our nursery at the end of our children's wing where they enjoy play and snacks. On the fifth Sunday of each month, our older children stay in the service with their families to worship together.
All of our volunteers with the children’s ministry are background-checked and work in groups of two or more people because your child’s safety is our highest priority. If you have any questions please feel free to contact Pastor Trenton or the church office.
Students
Currently, we have a connection gap at GVBC in our student ministry for middle and high schoolers. We are diligently pursuing the Lord’s favor and direction in this area. If you have student(s), we invite you to be a part of this exciting process.
